UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice Welcomes New Members to Board of Directors

The UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice welcomed three new members to the Board of Directors at its recent annual Board Retreat.

Harriet_Williams_webHarriet I. Williams, EdD, of Essex Junction, is the founder and executive director of Dress for Success Burlington. Prior to this, she had a 17-year administrative career in higher education, most recently serving as the director of the TRiO/Student Support Services Program at the University of Vermont. With a B.A. in English and a Master’s degree in Liberal Studies, Harriet completed her Doctorate of Education in the Educational Leadership and Policy studies program at the University of Vermont.

John B headshot_webJohn Bartlett, of Milton, is a Senior Account Analyst at Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC). John worked from 1991-1996 at Wake Robin, Vermont’s first continuing care retirement community in Shelburne, where he played a large role in the successful construction and opening of Wake Robin’s community center and health center. John has served on the Milton Selectboard since November 2010.

Linda Tarr-Whelan headshot_webLinda Tarr-Whelan, BSN, MS, FAAN, of Burlington, is an international expert and senior advisor to governments and corporations, a speaker, activist and writer on the importance of women’s role in the economy. Formerly Ambassador to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women under President Bill Clinton and Deputy Assistant for Women’s Concerns for President Jimmy Carter, Linda currently serves as a member of the board of the United Way of Chittenden County and as co-chair of its Women’s Leadership Council.

Also during the board retreat, Jim Madison of Test America and former UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice Board Chair, was appointed to the Honorary Board. Hal Colston was named the Chair of the Honorary Board.

John Maitland of Downs Rachlin Martin was re-elected as Chair of the UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice Board of Directors. Other Board officers re-elected include Frank Harris of Keurig Green Mountain as Vice Chair, Sandy McDowell of Vermont Information Technology Leaders (VITL) as Treasurer, and Barbara Martin of Community College of Vermont (CCV) as Secretary.
