Through this program, a person with no prior experience in health care can receive 40 hours of free training to become a PCA. PCA’s provide around-the-clock personal care and assistance with everyday tasks such as housekeeping or meal preparation to hundreds of Vermonters each day who need support to remain at home.

The program includes 3 levels of PCA training, with tiered promotions and wage increases, followed by a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) course for those interested.
