Hear From Our Nurses

“I get to see patients with many different diagnosis' and treatments, which continuously expands my knowledge. I literally learn something new every shift. I love working with patients that others may deem being a challenge. I give them all my love, care and time so they are able to heal with dignity. Every day brings something new. My day is never boring.”

Jamie, Staff Nurse (1 year experience)

“I have chosen medicine as my specialty for 27 years because I love the variety of diagnosis' and nursing critical thinking required in caring for patients/people of all different backgrounds over the course of their healing process. I love being an integral part of their healthcare team and getting to know patients and their families on a personal level. I love sharing my knowledge through teaching nursing students and new hires and showing them what a wonderful and rewarding profession nursing has been to me.”

Julie, Staff Nurse (27 years experience)

“I started on McClure 6 a year ago as a new grad nurse. I did my senior practicum for nursing school on the unit and really enjoyed it. McClure 6 is a general medicine unit which means we see a wide variety of patients and diagnoses. I chose to start here as a new grad nurse because it’s a floor where you can learn a lot. Our patients frequently have consults from several specialties, so you gain knowledge about many fields. Over the last year, I have made numerous connections and have had the opportunity to impact many patients’ lives. One of my favorite parts about McClure 6 is my coworkers. They are supportive and always willing to lend a helping hand. Even on the most challenging days, they can make me smile. Being a nurse on McClure 6 is a rewarding career and being a part of it means you’ll be a part of a great team!”

Emily Gervais, RN, BSN (6 years experience)

“We have a great group of nurses here, we all help each other out, so you never really have a bad day with that level of support. You may have stressful days, but your peers and colleagues are here to help and everyone always has your back.”

Amanda, RN (6 years experience)
