Programs for Fathers

F.A.C.T. Groups

The VNA Fathers and Children Together (F.A.C.T.) programs are designed for fathers or men in the fathering role and their children, aged birth to 5 years old. These programs offer an opportunity for dads to meet other dads and their children.

The programs consist of fun activities, parent education and support. Dads and kids enjoy a meal and experienced child care staff support the children in their play.

There are FACT programs based in Burlington, Winooski, and St. Albans. To learn more about these programs, click here.

For a July calendar of happenings at each program, click here.

The goal of the VNA F.A.C.T. project is to encourage and support the involvement of fathers with their young children by increasing father-focused parent education and support programs in Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. The F.A.C.T. project also seeks to promote a father-friendly culture through these activities and by disseminating information throughout the community on the importance of dads in their children’s lives.

Funding for this project is provided by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Grant # 90FR0029.
