Pediatric Supportive Care
The VNA provides quality supportive care services for children with a life-threatening illness and offers support to the parents and families of these children. Our goal is to provide continuity of care for children with a life-threatening illness, and to create a sustainable system of support for families throughout the child’s illness and beyond.
Every family is unique, as is the way they choose to cope with their child’s illness. We help families understand their treatment options and help customize services that keep the special needs of the child and family in mind.
Services are available to children from birth to 18 years of age and their families. We care for children beginning at the time of diagnosis with hope for a cure, and if a cure is not possible, through end of life and bereavement.
The VNA works with families to help manage the symptoms of a child's illness and focus on comfort and living life as fully as possible.
