Adult Day Program
The Adult Day Program is certified by the Vermont Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living.
“The Adult Day Program has provided stimulation for my mother, helping slow the progression of her Alzheimer’s. For my daughter, who cares for her, it gives her some time to recoup and get things done around the house. Because it gives my daughter a break, we haven’t had to make the decision to move my mother into a nursing home.”
-Marcia Devino
The VNA Adult Day Program offers social activities, healthy meals, convenient hours, and opportunities to meet new friends in a safe and homelike environment with nursing oversight. It also provides much needed respite for family caregivers.
Mission:
The mission of the VNA’s Adult Day Program is two-fold. Our first goal is to provide comprehensive professional health, social, and therapeutic services for functionally or cognitively impaired adults in a center-based home-like environment.
The second goal is to offer valuable respite, support and education to family caregivers.
We are committed to improving the quality of life for families in our community.
Our Participants:
We strive to meet the medical and social needs of our participants in order to give them the opportunity to attend the program. This safe and home-like setting is open to elderly people, adults with physical disabilities and those with medical needs.
Our Staff:
Each VNA Adult Day Program is staffed by trained professionals, including an on-site registered nurse, a licensed nursing assistant and activity specialists aided by dedicated volunteers.

We offer fun, social and recreational activities for everyone. Such activities may include:
- Daily exercise
- Gardening
