This popular springtime luncheon raises important funds for VNA's Janet S. Munt Family Room. The Family Room is a critical community resource which serves over 400 of Burlington’s most vulnerable families each year. It provides much needed educational activities and services that assist and help strengthen young families at no charge to participants. These programs include children’s playgroups, a community garden project, sewing and cooking classes, an accredited pre-school and mothers’ and fathers’ programs. For more information about the Family Room, click here.
More than 300 guests joined us at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in Burlington for this year's Spring Blooms! Fashion Show and Luncheon. Our models wore fashions from SportStyle and Brooks Brothers Factory Store. This year's models included Tiffany Bluemle, Laura Cheney, Rosemary Dale, Melissa Dever, Priscilla Dube, David Finney, Danielle Hartwick, Church Hindes, Charlotte Kenney, Dick MacKenzie, Isela Marin-O'Brien, Mark Pitcher, MD, Kelli Shonter, Coach Hajj Turner and Sabine Zerarka.

a hug at the starting line of the 2009 Jog.
The Vermont Respite House 5K Fun Run & Jiggety Jog continues to be the single largest annual fundraiser for the Respite House, Vermont's only Medicare-certified hospice home. Vermont Respite House is a home-away-from-home where terminally ill individuals can live out their remaining days in peace, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Every dollar raised from the Fun Run goes directly toward providing room, board, personal care and special services for residents, regardless of their ability to pay.
2011 marked the 20th anniversary of Vermont Respite House. We celebrated that on May 7 with our annual fundraiser for Respite House. Great weather, lots of participants and many generous friends made the 2011 Vermont Respite House 5K Fun Run and Jiggety Jog a successful event to date, over $62,000 has been raised for Vermont Respite House.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this event such a success.
