Spring Blooms! Fashion Show
- A Benefit for VNA's Janet S. Munt Family Room
More than 200 guests and volunteers celebrated the Spring season, despite the April snowstorm, at the VNA's Spring Blooms! Fashion Show and Luncheon held at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center. This annual fundraising event raises money for the Janet S. Munt Family Room, VNA's Parent-Child Center which provides essential services and programs that support our community's most vulnerable families.
Thanks to our event sponsors, guests and our raffle prize donors, more than $32,000 was raised to benefit the many Family Room programs offered for free to over 400 at-risk families and their children from birth to age 6.
VNA staff, volunteers, Board members and community friends bravely modeled the latest spring fashions from this year's clothiers: SportStyle, Ecco Clothes, Spellbound, Men's Wearhouse and Wylie Sofia Garcia. Special thanks to our 2015 models: Nancy Barnes, Jillian Bartolo, Kristin Carlson, Hal Colston, Pat Donehower, Evan Goldsmith, Mikey van Gulden, Hannah Kirkpatrick, Michell Langlais, Dale Loeffler, Steve MacQueen, Lori McBride, Judy Peterson, Hawa Sheikh and Kevin Veller.
During the event, the 2015 VNA Cares for Children award was given to Rick Davis and The Permanent Fund for Vermont's Children for their support of the Family Room's mission to prepare kids for school, build strong families and enrich our community.
We also shared a special video about the programs at the VNA Family Room from the words of some of the participants of the Family Room. You can view the video here:

Vermont Respite House 5K Fun Run & Jiggety Jog
- Allen Brook School, Williston, VT
- May 9, 2015
The Vermont Respite House 5K Fun Run & Jiggety Jog continues to be the single largest annual fundraiser for the Respite House, Vermont's only Medicare-certified hospice home. Vermont Respite House is a home-away-from-home where terminally ill individuals can live out their remaining days in peace, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Every dollar raised from the Fun Run goes directly toward providing room, board, personal care and special services for residents, regardless of their ability to pay.
Each year hundreds of participants run, walk, jog, bike and stroll to help raise money for Vermont Respite House. In 2014, more than $60,000 was raised for Vermont's only Medicare-certified hospice home to help provide room, board, personal care and special services for residents, regardless of their ability to pay.
For more than 20 years, the Vermont Respite House 5K Fun Run & Jiggety Jog continues to be the single largest annual fundraiser for the Respite House.
