Camp Knock Knock
- YMCA Camp Abnaki in North Hero, VT
Camp Knock Knock opens its doors for this weekend family bereavement camp for families with children who have experienced the death of a loved one. By providing open support and guidance this camp creates an opportunity for growth and healing for families who are experiencing the natural grieving process. Skilled counselors, professionals, and trained volunteers participate in this unique experience for families.
The camp is presented by the Junior League of Champlain Valley and the VNA's Hospice program. During the weekend, campers can participate in a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, campfires, storytime, waterfront activities, and a candlelight remembrance ceremony. The camp also features small group sessions to provide strategies to adults and children in coping with grief.
Camp Knock Knock is held in June each year at YMCA Camp Abnaki in North Hero, VT. For more information about this camp, to refer a family or to volunteer, contact Ally Parker, VNA Grief and Bereavement Coordinator and Camp Knock Knock director, at (802) 860-4499 ext. 3405 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
