Including the VNA in Your Will
The Julia Smith Wheeler Founders' Society
Thank you for your interest in remembering the Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties (VNA) in your will. Doing so gives you an active role in sustaining our 100-year commitment to providing quality home and community-based health services for all who turn to us in their time of need – and preserves your current income. Bequests by will can also reduce your estate taxes. Many friends of our agency have chosen to honor the VNA in this way; and we invite you to consider including us in your estate plans.
Everyone who informs us that they have designated the VNA in their will – or has named the VNA as a beneficiary of a retirement plan or similar asset – is automatically a member of the Julia Smith Wheeler Founders’ Society, named for the young Burlington woman who co-founded our VNA in 1906.
If you have already included the VNA in your estate plans, or if you would like more information on how to do so, please contact Ann Irwin at (802) 860-4437 or irwinREMOVETHISBEFORESENDING@vnacares.org, or write to us at:

Sample Bequest Language
Over the years bequests to the VNA have resulted in important additions to our long-term funds which help us meet our charitable care mission every year. We provide donors and their advisors with sample language to facilitate this type of gift.
